5 MUST-READ ANTI-BULLYING BOOKS FOR KIDS ON AMAZON

Bullying involves an imbalance of power between the bully and the victim, is intentionally harmful, and occurs repetitively (Olweus, 1999). Nowadays it has become normal for kids to experience this kind of problem and it is seen more often in schools and neighborhoods.

There are two types of bullying:

  • The physical one which consists of pushing, hitting or intentionally pestering with someone else. This kind of bully is caused by someone who thinks they are cooler, bigger and stronger than anyone else just because they are harming other kids who, most of the time, turn out to be shy and inoffensive.
  • The psychological one, whose insults sometimes might not seem harmful but they actually are. A words power is unimaginable so harassing a kid with words causes incredible damage that can turn into a problem in their future and affect their social skills on a very high level.

Over time organizations have been created in order to support kids who live this nightmare - websites and groups full of people willing to help are everywhere and that’s not all. Writers along with psychologists decided to take a step forward to solve this problem and have been working on books for kids, describing daily-life situations that will help kids to be tougher when dealing with these situations.

Most of the books can be found in bookstores but we know technology has been moving forward as well. So, Amazon made Audibles for your kids to listen to.

All of these books represent different stories based on daily-life situations that kids go through. These books help teach them how to prepare, how to be more resilient, and the most important thing: how to be human. They reflect the humanity we must believe and the power of love that always wins, no matter what situation your kid is in. There will always be a solution and maybe these books can be a part of it.
